INSURANCE SPECIFICS

METAPHYSIO HAWAII AND METAPHYSIO NYC: Christine Keller is an out of network provider, which means you will pay for your treatments at the time of your visit. Within 2 days you will receive an invoice to submit to your insurance company.  If you have out of network benefits, your insurance company usually pays between 60-80% of the treatment cost.  If you are submitting to insurance for reimbursement a medical doctors prescription is sometimes necessary.

In the states of New York and Hawaii, Physical Therapists who have been practicing for more than 3 years are allowed to evaluate and treat you for 10 visits or 30 days (whichever comes first) as a Direct Access patient.  Despite this allowance, you may still require a doctors prescription for insurance benefits to be effective.
